| they go for the "safe" shot ... the one they know will work out for a sharp focus ... yeah they could risk it - try to pan at 1/60 or 1/80 - maybe get some keepers out of it. But if they shoot a 1/500 they know your car will be sharp and they can sell a sharp photo. I see it here as well with the "pros" some simply don't want to take tons of photos and sort through to find the sharp ones. Course with the practice they could get attending all those track events they should be better than me at panning by now. I'm with you I wish they would take more of a chance because I think they'd reap the rewards with more sales if they tried panning at a slower shutter speeds.
